The agency started out more than 30 years ago, founded by Antonio Martínez Ballester after his corporate career at AGF-Unión Fénix. From day one he was clear that solid protection meant working with a major insurer, so he chose Allianz — one of the largest insurers in the Spanish market then, and one of Europe’s leading insurance groups today.

Today the agency is a family business led by his son, Antonio Martínez Serrano, and we remain true to that original vision: we work exclusively for Allianz. We are not intermediaries selling to the highest bidder, but specialists in the products of one of Europe’s leading insurers — which gives us real weight when defending our clients’ claims and savings.

About our agency

What is AMB Seguros?
AMB Seguros is the trading name of Allianz Seguros – Agencia Antonio Martínez Ballester, an exclusive Allianz insurance agency founded in Murcia in 1993. We advise individuals, expats and businesses on insurance, savings and investment, from our office in Murcia city centre and remotely throughout Spain.
What does “exclusive Allianz agency” mean?
It means we work only with Allianz products. We are not a broker comparing insurers: we are specialists in one of Europe’s leading insurance groups, with a direct line to Allianz that helps us get claims and authorisations resolved faster for our clients.
Who looks after English-speaking clients?
Antonio Martínez Serrano, our agency director, is personally responsible for our international and expat clients. You can talk to him and the rest of the team in English by phone, WhatsApp, email or at the office.
How long has the agency been operating?
Since 1993. The agency was founded by Antonio Martínez Ballester after a career in claims at AGF-Unión Fénix, and is now a family business led by his son. Today we manage more than 2,300 insurance, savings and investment policies for over 1,300 clients.
Do you only work with clients in Murcia?
No. Our office is in Murcia city centre, but we serve clients all over Spain. English-speaking clients across the Region of Murcia — the Mar Menor, Cartagena, Mazarrón, Camposol, Águilas — and further afield work with us by phone, WhatsApp, email and video call.
Does it cost more to use an agent instead of buying direct?
No. Our advice is included in the official Allianz premium, so having a dedicated agent costs you nothing extra — and you get someone on your side when you need to claim.
