What is Allianz Plan Extra and how does it work?
Plan Extra is a solution based on distribution (income) funds. You invest your capital in a family of funds actively managed by Allianz Global Investors, the Dynamic Multi Asset Strategy (DMAS). Instead of reinvesting all returns, the fund pays out a regular amount every month directly into your bank account.
Where does my monthly income come from?
It works much like a share dividend: each time the fund makes a monthly payment, the fund's unit price (net asset value) falls by the same amount. It lets you use the return on your savings as a regular income without waiting years to cash out.
Is the monthly income guaranteed?
No. It's a real investment fund, not a bank deposit. The payment is calculated to be stable, but it depends on how the markets perform. The amount is reviewed every year based on the fund's value, so it can go up or down, and so can your capital.
Do I need to be an investment expert?
Not at all. The Allianz Global Investors managers combine fixed income, equities and other assets for you. You just define your risk profile with us, in English, and the managers take care of the rest.
What risk levels does Plan Extra offer?
Four Allianz Dynamic Multi Asset Strategy (DMAS) profiles: DMAS 15 (~2.5% estimated distribution, low risk), DMAS 30 (~3%, moderate), DMAS 50 (~4%, medium risk) and DMAS 75 (~6%, higher risk and volatility in exchange for a higher income).
How much could I receive each month?
It depends on the amount you invest and the profile you choose. As a rough guide, your annual income is about your capital multiplied by the estimated distribution rate: in the official calculator example on this page, €100,000 in DMAS 75 generated €476.11 a month before tax. We'll run your own numbers with you.
What happens at the end of the 12 months?
The process continues automatically. Every 12 months the monthly amount is recalculated using the fund's value at that time, which may have risen or fallen, and a new fixed payment is set for the next 12 months. You can keep receiving it or change your strategy.
Can I withdraw my money if something comes up?
Yes. You can redeem all or part of your units at any time, with no early-cancellation penalty, and you'll receive the value of your units on the day the order is executed. Check the fund's costs in its key information document (KID) before investing.
How are the monthly payments taxed in Spain?
For Spanish tax residents, each payment is taxed as savings income (rendimiento del capital mobiliario), like a share dividend. 19% is normally withheld at source and counts towards your annual income tax return, where savings income is taxed at 19% to 30%. If you're not tax resident in Spain, ask us first.
Why arrange it through your office in Murcia?
Because you get personal advice (MiFID II) from a certified adviser who speaks your language. We review your Plan Extra with you and check that the DMAS profile you chose (15, 30, 50 or 75) still fits your household's income needs over time.
